SWOP is a peer-based organisation and, as such, you must identify as a sex work peer in order to work with us. This means you must be a past or current sex worker. We consider sex work experience to include all facets of sex work, including, but not limited to, erotic massage, stripping, full service and BDSM work. Policy Officer Wanted

Classification: SCHADS Award Level 5.1 (3 days/week, Permanent Part Time)

Probation: in line with the SCHADS Award

Reports to: WOP NSW Chief Executive Officer

Location: 7/110 Botany Road, Alexandria, NSW 2015

Position Overview: This role will prepare timely, accurate policy related information and persuasive advice, underpinned by anlysis of key reports and research, the lived experiences of sex workers in NSW, contextual awareness and sex worker consultation.

Outreach Worker (Mandarin/English) Wanted

Classification: SCHADS Award Level 4.1 (3 days/week, Permanent Part Time)

Probation: in line with the SCHADS Award Level 4.1 (Salary Packaging available)

Reports to: WOP NSW Chief Executive Officer

Location: 7/110 Botany Road, Alexandria, NSW 2015

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the delivery of peer education, health promotion and community development activities, aimed at improving the health, wellbeing, safety, and rights of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) sex workers in NSW, including STI and BBV awareness.

This position will specifically target, but is not limited to, Mandarin speaking sex workers. You will work as part of an outreach team that provides outreach to private, brotherl-based, and other sex workers across NSW, including developing culturally appropriate resource materials and fostering peer education strategies.
