SWOP is a peer-based organisation and, as such, you must identify as a sex work peer in order to work with us. This means you must be a past or current sex worker. We consider sex work experience to include all facets of sex work, including, but not limited to, erotic massage, stripping, full service and BDSM work. Our organisation is expanding and we welcome applicants for several exciting positions.

SWOP NSW Co-CEO (job share) (3 days per week) L7 (responsible to Governance Committee delegate)

This position provides strategic leadership and managerial functions for SWOP NSW to ensure the organisation meets its goals, objectives, legal and contractual requirements. The position operates in line with a delegation of authority and ensures best practice financial management and human resources practices are implemented. 

The position directs and inspires the organisation’s staff team to deliver a quality program of activities for sex workers in NSW. All duties conducted are to be in line with the organisation’s objectives and strategic plan.

Please note: this is a job share role with both staff working 3 days per week with one day per week overlap. 

The role allows for capacity building for the right applicant. If you do not meet all selection criteria fully (other than criteria number one), but have strong leadership skills, you should still apply.

SWOP NSW Aboriginal Sex Worker Outreach Officer (3 days per week) L4

(responsible to Outreach Manager)

This position is responsible for peer education and health promotion aimed at improving the health, wellbeing, safety and rights of Aboriginal sex workers in NSW, including STI and BBV awareness.

This position will specifically support, but is not limited to, Aboriginal identifying sex workers, including people who offer sex for favours . You will work as part of an outreach team that provides outreach to sex workers across NSW.

SWOP NSW Sex Worker (Thai) Outreach Officer (Casual) L4 (responsible to Outreach Manager)

This position is responsible for peer education and health promotion aimed at improving the health, wellbeing, safety and rights of CALD (Thai speaking) sex workers in NSW, including STI and BBV awareness.

This position will specifically support, but is not limited to, Thai speaking sex workers. You will work as part of an outreach team that provides outreach to sex workers across NSW.
