Under occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations both employees and employers have roles, rights and responsibilities for themselves and others. If you are self-employed, then you have control over—and responsibility for—the health and safety practices in your workplace for yourself, clients and any other staff or visitors.

This sex worker handbook, often referred to as the RED STI HANDBOOK is a key resource from Scarlet Alliances. The resource is a reference guide for sex workers to sexually transmissible infections. The resource covers: negotiation, safe sex tools, condom breakage, general sexual health information, sexually transmissible infections, testing, checking clients for STIs, working safely in fantasy bookings, and contact information for sex worker organisations.

The Workers Handbook; Male Edition An introductory guide for people starting out in male to male work. Topics include tools of the trade, establishing boundaries and negotiating jobs, tips for practising safe sex with both clients and private partners, what to do if a condom breaks, how to protect privacy and safety and tips from people in the industry.
